Planning Approved for Extension to Historic Building

Conservation areas and historic buildings can present additional challenges to a project. Whilst it is important to preserve the character of such buildings, modern living has different requirements for use of space and so extensions are needed to enable continued use as a family home.

Here we have a "Lady Wimborne Cottage" which was built in a gothic revivalist style around 1880. The building had been added to over the years, so part of the design process is to understand which parts are later additions.

Do you have an old building that requires alterations or extensions? We scan every project using LiDar technology to create a digital twin of the building in our architectural software, so we can be sure that our plans are accurate and replicate it's features faithfully.
